You Want What...!?

Date Published 16 November 2015

My kids are thankfully beyond the ‘Top 10 Christmas Toy' age so I can breathe a little easier in mid-December without the need to desperately search every website known to man for the last remaining coveted toy!

I do, however, still look with interest (and relief!) at the annual list which this year made me do a double take. Had I gone back in time with Tracy Island, Star Wars and Lego dominating the list? After my initial confusion I was quite comforted by the retro returns and even more pleased to see a list with no electronic devises!

For me, a friend's Facebook post has incentivised me to do as much of my Christmas shopping locally as possible. I much prefer the idea of supporting local business people, friends and neighbors instead of multinational companies.

I would love to hear from any small local businesses or self-employed people with Christmas gifts to sell so that I can draw up a more community inspired list of go to people for my Christmas shopping. A list of course that I will share.

For those with younger children, please see below and good luck, you'll need it!

City Deep Sea Exploration Vessel - LEGO Company
